Second-Day Stories- MAC and Big Ten

I like this story about the hire of Gary Andersen by this Wisconsin blog.  The article takes a different look at the hiring, comparing the records of first-time coaches in the Big Ten over the past decade.  I think it serves as an effective supplement in predicting how Andersen will do in his first year.

Most MAC blogs I found had only season previews, and not too much insight beyond that.  I liked this post from back in January because it takes an event (Northern Illinois losing in the Orange Bowl) and wonders what is next.  Talking about the bigger picture after a game is a perfect example of a second-day story.
