Second day stories

I found this story on Notre Dame by the New York Post to be well written. I liked how Lenn Robbins talked about how “tenuous” football can be and how one season doesn’t give much indication about how the next season will go. The fact that the team was much better the year after they won in 1988 but one single game kept them from repeating was a great example of that. It is going to take a lot for Notre Dame to get back to the National Championship this year.

This story posted on Idaho Press-Tribune talks about Boise State’s Joe Southwick and whether or not he’ll be able to continue his end-of-season success from last year. I like how the writer highlighted that this is Southwick’s last chance to make a mark on the football program. It definitely got me interested in following him this season to see if he’ll follow through.
