I enjoy reading second-day stories on ESPN because the writers do a great job of focusing on the big picture and include good analysis. For the Big East, this article describes the magnitude of Louisville defeating Michigan in the men’s basketball championship this year. I enjoyed this story because it begins with humor about Rick Pitino. Also, I like the connection made between Kentucky and Louisville at the end.
Kansas State defeating Texas in football last year was surrounded by several big headlines. I liked this article because it gave appropriate attention to two of them. The writer does a good job of focusing on Collin Klein’s performance and how it helped him as a Heisman Trophy candidate. Also, I liked the twist the writer added with regards to Oklahoma celebrating the Big 12 title earlier in the day when in the end Kansas
State won due to a tiebreaker.
