Good Second-Day Stories

I found this story about the replacement of the Texas Longhorn’s starting quarterback to be a good second-day angle because it goes into how the starter lost his job and the reasoning behind the decision to play the backup. The story talks about more than just the initial report of the new quarterback by going into detail about why he’s better as well as having a more in-depth analysis about the subject.

The next story I found is a different type of second-day angle. It’s more of an analysis piece of Oklahoma’s narrow win over West Virginia. Instead of telling the reader strictly about what happened during the game, it goes through some of the key parts and grades the overall efficiency and playing. It includes things such as where the Sooners went wrong and some things they did right.
